Click fraud



Base on wikipedia definition, click fraud is a type of Internet crime that occurs in pay per click online advertising when a person, automated script or computer program imitates a legitimate user of a web browser clicking on an ad, for the purpose of generating a charge per click without having actual interest in the target of the ad's link. Click fraud is the subject of some controversy and increasing litigation due to the advertising networks being a key beneficiary of the fraud.

In my opinion, click fraud is where people visit certain website, then click the website's ads in turn, they ask the website owner to visit them and do the same. When they ads had been clicked, they get certain amount of money because of publish an advertisement in their website. From my experience from blogging, many other blogger visit my website then claim that they clicked my advertisement and in turn they ask me to do the same to their website.

Some people change their IP address just because of want to click their own ads. This kind of activity also been called click fraud. How the change their IP address? Its easy to change your IP address.

1) Change your location of surfing internet where surfing in different network.

The router will give an IP address to your network internet card. Different network, will give different IP address. Try to check your own IP address using command promt in windows. Type "ipconfig" and enter.

2) Using static IP address.

This can be made in same network. In windows, open your network and sharing canter, click on local area connection, click properties, highlight on internet protocol version 4, click properties, then use the following IP address. Set your IP address. Before you set your IP address, make sure your know the range of your router IP address and your chosen IP address are not been used by other computer.

3) Using proxy.

There is many proxy available on the internet. The proxy will change your IP address.

There is not good of being click fraud. Say no to click fraud.
